The top line played 20 minutes and then the only other player to play more than 14 was Schmaltz. That’s just terrible coaching in my opinion. Get Vinnie off the 4th line and put him with Schmaltz and Soderberg. Would love to see Hayton in the lineup for obvious reasons, was disappointed that Comtois wasn’t in for the Ducks

Btw Tanner I heard that today’s game sold out as of Wednesday/Thursday so they’ve been selling standing room tickets only. I think this a big game in determining future sellouts. The average fan here won’t be keeping up with the day to day or even week to week with this team. If they get blown out it’ll definitely have an effect on the local perception

I think there's a lot of excitement for the team this year because of how close they came and how injured they were. It's faulty logic though because that kind of goaltending is going to be hard to come across.

Still, it's nice that people are excited for this team and I agree it's important to get off to a good start.

Strome has good stats but put up crap points, then goes to Chicago and put up crap stats but scored points. Maybe you’re looking too hard at the wrong stats.

I don’t think so. What’re the biggest changes in Strome’s game heading over to Chicago? IMO it was QoT and TOI. He got to play with guys closer to his skill level and he got a regular shift, he didn’t see either of those when he was in the Desert

I got to watch Strome live. I had an instant appreciation for the little things he did well. He was top 5 in the league at face offs at that time and his passing/playmaking was clearly near elite. My roommate is Chicago and I talked to her about it. She went from hating it to thinking it’s a win for both teams, which is how I feel. Maybe she just wanted me to shut up 🤪🔫

That's pretty crazy.

Next thing you'll try to tell me is that it's better to buy and rent out to someone else rather than to just to rent something yourself.

One thing to think of is that it's the home opener playing the Bruins and it's on a Saturday.

If it was the Jets on a Thursday night I doubt it would be a sellout.

"how injured they were"

Same old, incorrect narrative. You should be the White House press secretary.

How long before you factor in Hossa's LTIR into this year's excuse factory?
